Overview

Swyfft provides homeowner insurance quotes for homeowners and real estate agents, but the company only operated through a web experience. Ahead of a planned sale, they needed their first iOS app — translating the web experience into a native mobile flow.

Problem

Agents and homeowners had two very different needs from the same product: agents needed access to both home and commercial package searches, while homeowners only needed home insurance. There was no mobile way to serve either group.

What I did

  • Mapped the two primary user types — real estate agents and homeowners — and the features each needed: search, account management, and an additional options menu
  • Built low-fidelity wireframes for both user types, then pivoted to an agent-focused flow after stakeholder feedback to simplify scope
  • Designed mid-fidelity flows for getting and customizing home and commercial quotes, binding policies, and payments
  • Adapted the existing design system's colors to meet ADA accessibility compliance for mobile
  • Designed high-fidelity screens for policy management (mortgage changes, payments, cancellations, address updates, history) and agent resources like claims reporting

Outcome

A native iOS translation of Swyfft's web quoting experience, giving agents a focused, accessible flow for getting and managing homeowner insurance policies on the go.
